OMG! The baby is like dangling. Not again Brit.
Guest_Anamaria  [May 15, 2006 at 08:43 AM]
He's sleeping. Kids usually "falls" onthe side while sleeping in a baby car seat. It's not dangerous.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 09:47 AM]
oh britney. lookin fierce
Guest_Tor  [May 15, 2006 at 09:47 AM]
Ok, I didn't really see a safety belt around him.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 09:52 AM]
OMG what the hell are you talking about?!? (@ Guest_Tor comment) idiot! *shakes head*
Guest_Sam  [May 15, 2006 at 10:07 AM]
something abt this is freeing idk its like shes saying "its ok sean were gonna get away from ur freeloading dad and find a better man!"
Guest_Guest_ivana  [May 15, 2006 at 10:17 AM]
I agree Anon2.Whenever people can they make Britney the worst mother ever!Ok, she made a big mistake once-when Sean was sitting on her lap in that SUV, but I think that as a mom, she would rather hurt herself than Sean, just to protect him.His lil head falls down because he is sleeping, just like Anamaria said
Guest_maikel  [May 15, 2006 at 12:17 PM]
(...)ed up!!!!!!! he should be upstraigt...even sleeping!!!! how long does he have to sit like that???? por baby!! and what the (...) britbitch!!! driving a cabrio with a 7 month old in the back?????? he get all the wint in his face, baby's can harldy breath like that!!!, and he can get amonia, or a bad cold because of the wind!!! Guest_rasd  [May 15, 2006 at 12:34 PM]
how cmoe kevin is never freakin around
Guest_Bu  [May 15, 2006 at 12:39 PM]
Oh shut the (...) up. I guess she's worse than mothers that kill & rape their kids then. You freak the boy is fine. She can't stop his head from falling to the side when he's sleeping. That's how babies sleep in the car you dumbass. Obiviously you know nothing about kids!! And yes he can breathe you fool. You act like you were there!!
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 02:14 PM]
maikel, whats amonia? think you mean pneumonia..why don't you learn to speak and then unjustly criticize brit..the child is fine, he is just sleeping!!
Kelly  [May 15, 2006 at 02:34 PM]
It so cute, Sean must have been really bored at the hair salon, pobably why she left with the curler in
Guest_Kim  [May 15, 2006 at 03:05 PM]
Well first of all her son is supposed to be in a REAR facing car seat till the age of one, second they do make these neat little head support things that keep there heads from falling around like that when they are sleeping but maybe she couldn't afford one after buying her sports car.
Guest_nikki  [May 15, 2006 at 03:17 PM]
do we have to start this (...) again?
Guest_Wren  [May 15, 2006 at 03:39 PM]
The baby is what, 7 months old? He's not even supposed to be facing forward until he's a YEAR old! I swear if she weren't rich and famous, CPS would've done something by now.
Guest_Guest_Priscilla  [May 15, 2006 at 03:59 PM]
You gotta be freaking kidding me.. she STILL hasn't learned her lesson yet she's expection AGAIN! Someone needs to stop these people from reproducing or at least give her a crash course in parenting 101!
Guest_nell  [May 15, 2006 at 04:29 PM]
and i guess it´s not the best for the baby sitting in the sun with any hat on his head. lord, she loves her kid, but she doesn´t care very much when she is having an accident. he will die for sure.
Guest_Casie  [May 15, 2006 at 04:57 PM]
His head falling to the side like that is NOT the point. The point is that the car seat should be REAR FACING. He is not even a year old yet. It defeats the purpose if you are not even going to put him in the correct way and install it properly. She is such a dumb (...).
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 05:08 PM]
That baby should be rear-facing, not front facing. She's a moron.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 05:14 PM]
Babies slump when they sleep, but if he were buckled in correctly, he couldn't slump that far down. And yeah, he should be rear-facing.
Guest_Justin  [May 15, 2006 at 06:06 PM]
Be happy for britney! she seems happy
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:09 PM]
Strike three, Britney. Sad that so many people see nothing wrong with the way that child is slumped over. And if there's a crash - how badly will bis neck SNAP?
Guest_start  [May 15, 2006 at 06:09 PM]
First of all, he's supposed to be rear-facing! Hes not a year old yet! My baby boy is only a month 1/2 younger then Sean. When my baby falls asleep his head will tilt to the side a little bit, but not like that! It doesn't look like he is buckled in properly!
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:18 PM]
If he were buckled in properly his shoulder would not be slumped forward so far. If she has a wreck he will most likely be ejected from the seat. Not to mention that he indeed should be forward facing.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:19 PM]
The head tilting to the side is fine, but he needs to be REAR FACING! That's common knowledge.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:24 PM]
i agree with the rearfacing....Big NO NO!!!
Guest_anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:26 PM]
That's not a head tilt - that's a slump. WRONG wrong. ONLY the head should tilt.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:27 PM]
That is NOT normal to be hanging over the car seat like that! FIRST - he should be rear facing until at least a year old - and SECOND - fror hm to be hanging over lie that the straps are WAY too loose.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:37 PM]
Yep. she's still a moron. Kids should remain rear facing as long as possible, even after a year. But the law is AT LEAST a year AND 20 pounds. Plus those straps are WAY too lose. You should be able to get only ONE finger between the harness and his shoulders. She just doesn't care. It's obvious.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:41 PM]
sooooo seans just sleeping.....babys sometimes sleep in any position, even if it looks uncomfortable to us, the baby doesnt give a (...), i think its cute, lol.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:45 PM]
"cute"? Idiot.
Guest_anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:46 PM]
uhh, whether or not the baby is "comforable" is not the issue (sheesh).
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 06:47 PM]
u people who say shes a moron need to get a ###king life. ur just looking to see what u can say about her next.and if shes a stupid has been y does she get so much attention. i mean shes got urs dosent she!!!! get a life!
Guest_lovebrit  [May 15, 2006 at 06:53 PM]
he's in the back at least
Guest_corey leigh  [May 15, 2006 at 06:56 PM]
u know what assholes?? leave brit alone and let her mother her own child for once!! u shouldnt be badmouthing her if u r her fan, and if u r not her fan, dont come to this site and talk crap about her!! shes a new mother, let her take care of her child her own way!! and p.s., the baby is buckled in, because my baby cousin slumps the same way when she falls asleep, and shes completely buckled in!! so leave brit alone!! LOVE YA BRIT!! UR AWESOME!! I WILL ALWAYS B UR FAN!!!
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 07:00 PM]
No way is he restarined anywhere even remotely well enough. Look how far forward his shoulder is. The shoulders should be against the back of the seat, Period. Not to mention the fact that he's already forward-facing -- hugely dangerous for such a young baby. If she gets in a crash...What a complete idiot. I can't get over how many people think criticizing her for putting her infant in very grave danger is mean. (...) that.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 07:09 PM]
I used to be a car seat safety tech. He should be rear facing. Even if he were old enough to be forward facing, he isn't properly restrained. Those straps are way too loose. I don't think not taking proper precautions to help to ensure child's safety is "cute". It's downright ignorant. Someone needs some parenting classes!
Guest_helen  [May 15, 2006 at 07:14 PM]
(...) stuppit stuppit (...)..thats what she is! a (...)ed up mom! she should have her own show...'mothers from hell' (...)ing (...) is a psyco..acting so cute and all on intervieuws and shows...pffff she is 100 (...) inside of here...really!! and a bad bad bad mother!!!!!
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 07:31 PM]
There is no way in hell that Sean is restrained properly in that pic. Not to mention, a child his age shouldn'Brit is an idiot. Stupid people should not breed. Just goes to prove, money can't buy brains.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 07:31 PM]
Plus, it's a convertible, and if she got in an accident, he'd be thrown from the vehicle. Poor guy
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 07:33 PM]
There is no way in hell that Sean is restrained properly, not to mention the fact that he should be REAR FACING. All children should be rear facing in car seats until they are 1 year old AND 20 lbs. Sean isn't 1 year, thus shouldn't be forward facing. Brit is an idiot, look at her choice in baby daddies! Stupid people shouldn't breed.
Guest_A Mommy  [May 15, 2006 at 07:41 PM]
He need to be rear facing and she could at least fix his head OMG that looks so uncomfrable. I am a mom and my child never has her head like that. She might not have a seat belt on him or it is very loose sorry there is no way he can lay like that in a seat belt. Young people can be great mom if they want. I had mine when I was 21 well I am 23 now and She is turning 2 in 2 weeks. I have been a great mom and would never do put my child in danger that the picture shows britney doing. Plus she is PG again. :
Guest_haj  [May 15, 2006 at 08:16 PM]
i think britney is aware about her child,i mean comon it's her child,do u think u guys that she gona kill her kid?no way,she knows wot's best for him, she's a mother, she did it once,i don't think she's stupid to do it again, plus were she gona put him anyway?at front?no,so the back is the saffest place
Guest_Linznaomi  [May 15, 2006 at 08:28 PM]
obviously the child is still alive...there was no accident...and this is only one picture of one car ride...sure, maybe he wasn't fastened correctly, but he's safe now, let it go folks, let it go...it's not our responsibility...although it seems like many of you would like it to be!
Guest_Momoftwo  [May 15, 2006 at 08:29 PM]
silly Anamaria, yes it's dangerous for the kid, if she were to be hit, he could break his neck from a position like that. Sure he fell asleep, but she's also able to pull over and rearrange his head back into place. How badly do you think that poor boy's neck hurt when he woke up? Probably pretty badly, think about the last time YOU slept awkwardly. And to Bu, babies can breath but it's more difficult in the back of convertible when you are facing the wind. Guess you've never ridden in one.
Guest_anonnon  [May 15, 2006 at 08:39 PM]
it's her kid. she can risk his life if she wants to. im sure he doesnt mind. and if he gets killed, then she will deal with the funeral and not you. So....BACK OFF (...)ES!! As for the carseat, if it was facing the other way then the backpressure from having the top down would make him feel like he was suffocating. riding in the car was like a nightmare for him and he wouldnt stop crying until she figured this out and turned him around. OK?
Guest_Kristee  [May 15, 2006 at 08:57 PM]
sad, very sad...........
Guest_MamaTo3  [May 15, 2006 at 08:57 PM]
That baby should be rear facing. Some mothers really need to get a reality check. His neck could snap in a collision. And if the wind pressure is too much then she should put the top UP. Common Sense is lacking big time here.
Guest_MAD  [May 15, 2006 at 09:04 PM]
"He's sleeping. Kids usually "falls" onthe side while sleeping in a baby car seat. It's not dangerous"---UM that's not the problem!! HE's FORWARD FACING!!!!! STUPID COW SHE NEEDS TO TAKE SOME PARENTING CLASSES!!€! Also---it's her kid. she can risk his life if she wants to.----um it's not her life to risk!!! what a (...)ed up comment!!!
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 09:09 PM]
This comment is stupid: "As for the carseat, if it was facing the other way then the backpressure from having the top down would make him feel like he was suffocating. riding in the car was like a nightmare for him and he wouldnt stop crying until she figured this out and turned him around. OK? ".....so if it was SO bad for her son to be backwards with the top down, perhaps she should put the top UP like a good parent instead of risking his life so she can drive with the top down.
Guest_hiedi  [May 15, 2006 at 09:20 PM]
Ok, my son is 7 months old and he weighs almost 17 pounds, and He's WAY smaller than Sean P. Sean is almost nine months old, and he probably doesn't fit in the smaller car seat anymore, but there may be a way to face that car seat to the rear, I'm not sure. All that said, I know at least 3 other parents who've had to put their child in a larger carseat, forward facing, a little early because they were just too big. Let's not forget that Britney is a first time mother. She doesn't have all the answers, just
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 09:20 PM]
Are you sure that is even Britney herself. Doesn't look like her.
Guest_hiedi  [May 15, 2006 at 09:21 PM]
just because she is Britney Spears. She makes mistakes, too.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 09:23 PM]
Ive had 3 kids and not one of them has ever slumped like that whiel sleeping in their carseat. Youd think with all her money she coudl afford soem brains half the size of her boobs!
Guest_ShutTFUP  [May 15, 2006 at 09:34 PM]
OMG shut the F Up. Shes a human being... any other mother that you saw doing this you wouldn't say anything... at all. It's her kid, let her do what she wants. Who are you to tell her whats right and whats wrong. Jeeezzz. You all are F*cked up and if you go around critisizing celebs for their actions you should go get a life, and your jealous. P.S the baby is sleeping.. u are all rediculous.
Guest_Christine  [May 15, 2006 at 09:48 PM]
If you guys ever had a baby, you would know that they fall asleep like that, mine does. Would you like to sleep sitting up, no and i don't think they would either. BUT! that car is not safe for a child no, it's a small car she gets into a reck and the baby is going to die
Guest_anon_me  [May 15, 2006 at 10:17 PM]
I find it fascinating that the Britney defenders not only have such poor grasp of child carseat safety, but also lack proper grammar and the ability to express themselves well. Must be a bunch of teeny-bopper idol worshippers...
Guest_MamaTo3  [May 15, 2006 at 10:21 PM]
"any other mother that you saw doing this you wouldn't say anything." ACTUALLY, I would call the police. I have called in similar situations and have gotten the license number for the dispatcher.
Guest_Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 10:23 PM]
What's really sad is that this isn't uncommon. Regular stupid folk don't know how to use car seats properly either (as evidenced by these comments.) They're just not in the public eye for everyone to mock.
Guest_terra  [May 15, 2006 at 10:27 PM]
If his shoulders were properly harnessed in the seat, and the straps properly tightened, he would not flop THAT FAR. If they were in even a minor accident, he would likely be thrown from the seat. He is not properly restrained, and not supposed to be forward-facing until 20 lbs AND 12 months, minumum. And all that is totally overlooking how dangerous it is to ride in an open-topped vehicle with an infant. And I would absolutely take a friend aside to inform her so she stopped putting her baby at risk.
Guest_guest_dissent  [May 15, 2006 at 10:43 PM]
it is dangerous, Ana, the child's shoulder straps aren't up and he's too young to be forward facing. This is clearly improper use of the carseat and he's not safe.
Guest_Acy  [May 15, 2006 at 10:48 PM]
? What is happening!?
Guest_anon_me  [May 15, 2006 at 11:03 PM]
Guest_Acy - the answer to "what is happening" is reverse Darwinism. Stupid parents kill their offspring, thereby preventing further contamination of the gene pool.
Guest_not a rocket scienc  [May 15, 2006 at 11:28 PM]
There are several carseats on the market made just for larger babies to be rear facing some up to 33 lbs. It takes 30 seconds to google "rear facing to 30 lbs". I bought mine at walmart for $50. There is no excuse for having your child improperly restrained even if the child is a bigger baby. Do some research, please!!
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 11:51 PM]
As a certified child passenger safety tech- thats just wrong. He should be rearfacing in that same seat, with the straps tight and adjusted correctly. If she hits the brakes hard, he will be ejected and likely die. Children should be rearfacing to the limits of an appropriate convertable carseat. Moron.
Guest_Anon  [May 15, 2006 at 11:54 PM]
Isn't he supposed to be rear facing at this age? I hope the kid has sunscreen on too.
Guest_Me  [May 16, 2006 at 12:19 AM]
I don't know if this is really Britney, but that child should be in a rear facing car seat until he's a year or at least 25-30 lbs. And that child should have some sunscreen on. Either way, whoever this might be, isn't really taking good care of that baby!!!
Guest_mrspears  [May 16, 2006 at 12:38 AM]
wasn't the mini cooper that she was driving last week blue?
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 12:59 AM]
are you just a stupid witch or what. That baby is supposed to be rear facing you idiot. I hope someone takes your kids away since your too stupid to take care of them. My son is very close to seans age and I would never put him forward facing and I would call the police if I saw someone doing this. Here's a hint Britney :READ THE MANUAL
Guest_Lana  [May 16, 2006 at 01:05 AM]
OK SEAN IS ONE HEALTHY AND HAPPY BABY!AND IF BRITNEY IS SUCH A BAD MOM LIKE YALL SAY SOMETHIN WOULD HAPPEN TO HIM BY NOW!BUT HE IS OK YALL JUST LOVE TO JUDGE HER SOO MUCH!LEAVE HER ALONE ALREADY!AND WHAT DO U KNOW MAYBE SHE STOPPED LATER TO FIX THAT SIT U SEE ONE PIC AND U THINK U KNOW EVERYTHING!SHE ISNT AN IDIOT THIS IS HER FIRST KID AND EVERYONE CAN MAKE A MISTAKE!SHE DOESNT DESERVE ALL THAT (...) FROM PEOPLE!!!
Guest_METOO  [May 16, 2006 at 01:20 AM]
Look ppl is not ur son... and well as she's a celebrity u can see her doing this, but there is ppl who makes worse things... what do u care if it's not ur son, don't put urselfs in her shoes and let her do whatever she wants, after all if the baby dies is her bussiness
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 01:33 AM]
That child should be rear facing still. No excuses.
Guest_Salina  [May 16, 2006 at 02:17 AM]
He should be REAR-FACING. Period. She is SO ignorant. She seriously needs to get someone who knows what the hell they're doing to teach her how to take care of a baby. Obviously her own mother isn't any help. K-idiot is always gone, and probably wouldn't know anything anyway. Titney, hire help!! Before that sweet little baby really gets hurt due to your ignorance.
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 02:48 AM]
Most parents improperly restrain their children. If his carseat straps were on correctly he would not be slumped that far. Yes, their heads do go to one side when they sleep but he is bend way over and that wouldn't happen if he was properly restrained. And he should be rear-facing up to a year, regardless of weight. She has money and can afford to buy a carseat that can face both back and forward. She needs to go to parenting classes.
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 02:53 AM]
if she cant even take care of one baby when she is alone, how will she take care of 2?
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 03:23 AM]
He's sleeping. He can easily prop himself back up if he wakes up. I am pretty sure he has mobility now in his upper body. My sister fell asleep like that, I did, all babies do. As for the car seat issue. What is the law in California?
Guest_brie  [May 16, 2006 at 03:28 AM]
you guys seriously are idiots. babies sleep like that because oh yea when you call asleep you don't usually keep your heads straight up. even ADULTS sleep like that sometimes. she's in cali so uh IT'S OBVIOUSLY WARM OUT. and all my siblings were in carseats like that at that age too. END OF DISCUSSION. grow up people, when you have a kid then you might understand.
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 03:39 AM]
OMG!!! That poor boy. He is in so much danger. How can a baby even breathe with all that wind coming towards him? ANd like the others dsaid, he needs to be erear facing and strapped in tiogher tighter. HE doesnt even look like he has straps on his shoulders!!!
Guest_Shanna  [May 16, 2006 at 03:51 AM]
Actaully Britney should know that a child younger then 1 year old must be in a rear facing car seat...this is why Poor Sean is lookin this way! His seat is backwards..These seats go both ways...When they are over 1 year old, it should be forward facing! god she is such a dumbass! And she is having another! I do not even have kids but i have been a nanny for about 6 years and I know these things! He is to small to be sitting up like that...God Brit! Read the car seat manual!
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 03:59 AM]
Shanna: Babies will even sleep like that no matter HOW the car seat is positioned.
Guest_AL  [May 16, 2006 at 04:06 AM]
i kno this is wrong , but she still loves him , and if kevin were around mayb he can help her, i kno its not an excuse but give her a break isnt it weird that ppl are on buildings and high areas just to get a pic of her , they should really leave her alone .. LOVE YA BRIT
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 04:11 AM]
It does not matter if she has all the money in the world he must be rear facing until at least 1 year and 20 lbs. I know for a fact that his seat can go rear facing and it is not. If it was rear facing and he was strapped in correctly he would not be slumped over the way that he is in the picture. Babies will not sleep like that if they are in a seat that is properly reclined and they are strapped correctly into their seat!
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 04:13 AM]
How is she allowed to continue to reproduce? That baby is improperly restrained. There's no way that he should be slumped over like that and he's not even 12 months old yet! She has no business putting him forward facing! In an accident, he could be decapitated. You'd think she'd try to educate herself on this stuff.

IF the chest clip of the carseat is in the proper place, the baby shouldn't be slumped over that far. IT's pretty clear, he's not properly restrained.
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 05:11 AM]
I agree....she should not be allowed to reproduce....she is absolute trash!! This poor kid could be killed in a heartbeat if some crazy paparrazo was to cause an accident with her car. But she obviusly doesn't care! TRASH!!
Guest_Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 07:40 AM]
I cant believe some of you are defending her! Weather she is britney spears or a soccer mom, you should NOT drive and hold your baby in you lap, you should not have the car seat facing forward, you should not let your baby slump over like that and you should not drive a baby (especially one who is not securely strapped in) around in a convertible. These things are not acceptable.
Guest_riverzz  [May 16, 2006 at 08:18 AM]
1) He should be facing the back of the car. 2) He is not tied properly in his car seat, otherwise he would not be slump foward so much. and 3) Babies should really not be in a convertable for safty issues, but if they are in one they should be wearing a hat at least to protect from the sun. I understand that, yeah Britney is a new mother, but come on, it's common sense.
Guest_Bex  [May 16, 2006 at 10:46 AM]
Look, there are so many things wrong with that pic. The baby should face backward and be tightly restrained, and he's obviously not. He shouldn't be in an open convertable because of the wind, the danger of a wreck, and the possibility of flying road crap. Yes, Brit loves her kid, I am sure, but if that is her, she is obviously not getting good advice about parenting, and that is what every new mom needs. If by some miracle someone actually gets to see her after reading this, (cont next post)
Guest_Bex2  [May 16, 2006 at 10:50 AM]
Tell her not to be ashamed or affraid to ask for help. Anything that makes you a better mother is a wonderful thing.
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 01:04 PM]
When will CPS just take that poor kid away from her! If she had even skimmed the instructions that came with her carseat, she would have seen that it is not for children under 1yr old! If she had an accident he would be dead! poor kid!

I guess she didnt read the safety information that came with her seat !! @@ You know the one that says a child should be rear facing until one year old
Guest_momto1  [May 16, 2006 at 04:00 PM]
I turned my baby around a the age of 1. I asked the doctor and he said she isn't 20lbs yet but she is long enough you can turn her around. I love being able to see her. I know if I had to wait to she was 30lbs it would be awhile. She is almost 2 and weighs 24lbs. She has always been tall and skinny runs in the family. I am not saying she is right but maybe the doctor said it is ok but I would still wait intil he was at least 1 year. She still needs to have his seat belt on him.
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 04:52 PM]
why do a lot of you people keep saying it is okay for the baby to be sleeping that way? it is NOT okay. it would not be so bad if he was at home, but in the car, he should be sitting more upright. THE POINT is that a car seat has SHOULDER STRAPS. seans right shoulder is coming way forward and his head is almost touching his knee, if the straps were tightened properly, he would not be able to come forward like that. so even IF this is not harmful for him to be leaning, it still means he is strapped incorrectly
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 06:02 PM]
I have 3 kids they have all fallin asleep in the car and their little heads bob like that, my youngest is 5 and it still happens. My doctor said as long as they are sitting up very good and weigh over 20 lbs it's fine to turn their sets around. You people need to get a life and let her live, she is a mom ALL mom's make mistakes, just because it's Brittney Spears doesn't mean she is going to be any differant. GET OVER IT PEOPLE SHE IS NORMAL!
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 06:52 PM]
If your 3 kids were slumped over like that in their car seats then you didn' t have them strapped in correctly. Sitting up well in a car seat does not mean that their necks could handle a car accident. The skull could snap away from the spinal cord if they in an accident and are facing forward too soon.
Guest_Anon  [May 16, 2006 at 07:59 PM]
why do you people keep saying that all kids head bob like that, yes their HEADS can fall like that, their SHOULDS SHOULD NOT, if they do, they are not strapped in properly. if he was in a high chair or rocker like that, it would okay, BUT since he is in a car, that means his shoulder straps are not tightened properly. not all moms make mistakes when it comes to safety, and for her this is mistake 2 in a short time, and this mistake has 3 parts (shoulder straps, facing wrong way, open convertible)

Hopefully some of you people (especially the ones without the ability to think) have reproductive problems (that means having babies for the idiots in the reading audience) and we don't have to deal with your ignorance in raising children. (note it is your not ur)
Guest_safetymom  [May 17, 2006 at 02:34 AM]
Glad that she is using a car seat, HOWEVER, a child HAS to face backwards in a baby sea unitil their FIRST BIRTHDAY. Sean isn't 1 yet..., next, an INFANT should NOT be in a convertible, it isn't safe, #3, yes, baby's heads fall, HOWEVER it is MORE THAN HIS HEAD she doesn't have the chest restraint fastened tight enough
Guest_Anon  [May 17, 2006 at 03:18 AM]
Britney has proven time and time again just how well she takes care of poor baby Sean. She needs to hire someone who knows how to take care of a baby because he isn't being taken care of, safely. And, being in the public's eye at all time, you'd think she'd go out of her way to not look as if she were incapable of taking care of her child. I guess I should expect her to be stupid...she is still married to Kevin, after all
Guest_Anon  [May 17, 2006 at 04:01 AM]
oh please....Like its hurting him...people just look for stuff to bash her
Guest_Anon  [May 17, 2006 at 04:09 AM]
Come on people - anyone defending her doesn't have children. My 3 year old is in a convertible car seat and falls asleep all the time and she NEVER slumps over that far. Because she's buckled in PROPERLY!! That child is NOT buckled in properly. And he should be rear-facing until he's one or 20 pounds. Why is she driving the kid around when the nanny could do it?
Guest_Shanna  [May 17, 2006 at 04:29 AM]
Guest_safetymom, They make the converable seats to fit babies from 0-80 or 100 pounds for a reason..so the child can be in it from birth...Thats why they are convertable! I have been with alo of kids off all different sizes and ever child is different..I have NEVER seen a child slummped over THAT far in a car seat that was PROPERLY installed...Read the Manual Brit!
Guest_lauren  [May 17, 2006 at 04:59 AM]
ok some of you people obviously don't have kids..... yes when a baby is sleeping the head does fall to the side my daughter's does it all the time and she's 10 months old. yes the car seat should be rear facing, but when a baby is in a car seat you don't put the seat belt around the baby it will chocke them that way so you put it in the hole provided to strap it down..... yeah some of you need to read up before you make stupid comments, because you don't seem to know what you are talking about either
Guest_crazybutterfly  [May 17, 2006 at 05:25 AM]
you know what's funny about all the people who are bashing britney? if you wern't there in the car with brit and sean, then please don't act as if you KNOW IT ALL! brit is a normal person, she is NO WHERE NEAR PERFECT! it really make me wonder if all YOU CAN DO is critizise someone else to make yourself feel better!
Guest_shes dumd  [May 17, 2006 at 09:55 AM]
omg look at his neck.. thats y hes supposed ta b n a infant seat what a dumb (...) .and shes havin another
Guest_Anon  [May 17, 2006 at 01:33 PM]
It is NOT a law they have to be rear facing until a year and 20lbs except in a few states (CA is one of them). Depending on where she is, she may not be breaking the law and CPS can't do anything. Is she gambling with his safety? Yes, definitely. Is she breaking a LAW? Depends on where she's driving.
Guest_Anon  [May 17, 2006 at 02:08 PM]
leave the poor girl alone. Like I'm sure any mother here didn't do some dumb things at that age with their kids. Imagine life under a microscope. She has a tough road to ride on, just being rich and famous does not make it easier and in many cases, may make it a lot more difficult. Stopp Britney bashing!!!!
Guest_anon24  [May 17, 2006 at 03:59 PM]
LOOK AT HOW FAR HIS RIGHT SHOULDER IS AWAY FROM THE SEAT, for crying out loud. The straps are barely fastened, let alone tight enough. Even totally asleep, that shoulder shouldn't be away from the bak of the seat. It's not his head slumping, it's his entire body. I can't believe so many of you are willing to be cavalier abotu a baby's life because it's Britney. She sucks ass, she keeps putting her poor son in danger, and anyone who defends such reckless endangerment is an idiot.
Guest_Andy  [May 17, 2006 at 05:56 PM]
for those defending ms. spears out of blind allegiance or loyalty, i'm willing to bet that none are parents. be a fan all you want, but also have some perspective. no baby at 8 months old has muscles strong enough to prevent serious injury to the neck in case of a collision. you hear about ADULTS getting severe whiplash, so imagine how much worse it is for a child less than 12 months. many safety experts recommend keeping the child rear-facing up to 18-24 months. she is ignorant at best
Guest_cris053  [May 17, 2006 at 05:59 PM]
FOR ONE she is NOT violating any LAW!!!!! It is recommended for them to be but NOT required, yes he should still be rear facing but ALOT of new parents don't know how important it is. I am a parent that didn't realize it and had my son facing forward to early until we saw a tv thing on why they should be rear facing so we turned him back around. Its an honest mistake give her a damn chance to learn, its not like kids come with instruction books and how to be a perfect parent book!!!!!!!

ANDY: not all hospitals are the same--- when I had my first child they let me hold her in the wheel chair while my hubby pushed me out of the hospital but with my second child born at a differnet hospital they made us take the carseat up to the room and watch us buckle him and they had me do it wrong we went to the firestation down the street because it was bugging me how they made me do it, so no one is perfect!!!!!
Guest_andy  [May 17, 2006 at 06:01 PM]
continued: and negligent at worst. regardless, the child is not even close to being strapped in properly. i find it hard to believe that you "love" britney spears so much, and yet give her a free pass when she is clearly endangering the life of her child.

cris053: my wife and i received instruction at the hospital upon discharge re: how to use a carseat (ie, rear-facing, for how long, how tight, etc). i would imagine that someone with the resources of britney spears would have been exposed to this at some point.
Guest_Anon  [May 17, 2006 at 06:11 PM]
My daughter was in a convertible toddler car seat rear facing.. they do make them. she didn't slump like that when she slept... She definitely needs to take parenting classes... or read a book... WHAT ABOUT SUNSCREEN????? or a freakin' hat... he needs to be in a car that is safer.. not bee bopping along in a min cooper.. get a clue

Guest_ANON2  [May 17, 2006 at 10:24 PM]
HOW DO ALL OF YOU KNOW THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE SUNSCREEN ON???? WHERE YOU THERE WHEN SHE GOT HIM READY???? SHE IS HUMAN LET HER MAKE HER MISTAKES----- NO ONE HERE POSTING IS PERFECT SO QUIT ACTING LIKE ALL OF YOU ARE!!!!!!!!
Guest_chillout  [May 18, 2006 at 12:03 AM]
I'm not a huge fan at all, but as a mom we all make mistakes, it's not the law, so she isn'n breaking any law. Do you all put suncreen on all of your kids everytime you leave the house? People really, get over it, if we were called neglectfull everytime our children fall, or get a sunburn, or are misproperlly bulked up we would all be guilty.
Guest_Anon  [May 18, 2006 at 12:08 AM]
WTF!!! OK wheres his shoulder straps for 1??? And he should be facing the rear.. that is against the law. 22lbs and 12 months .. Why on earthy would any mother leave a top dwn regardless of sunscreen, theres rsv, the wind blustering, bugs..that alone is dangerous. She is a trashy mom just as her hubby is trash.. They should be sterile.. Period!!
Guest_get over it  [May 18, 2006 at 12:12 AM]
Is she the only person with a convertible that drives around with the top down with a baby?? How do you know she doesn't have sunscreen on him?? Just because she is Brittney everyone is going to pass some sort of judgement. I do agree the straps need to be tightened, but the rearfacing carseat is not a law!
Guest_Anon  [May 18, 2006 at 12:15 AM]
There is no excuse on not knowing how to protect your child. If you dont know the ins and outs of age w/car seats, exposing your child to sun/wind conditions, driving with your child not in a car seat then you literally should not have children. It takes 40 weeks to have a child. INstead of watching tv eatng bon bons you should learn on how to use these devices that are there to protect your child. Just because shes a celebrity means nada.. hes not buckled in the shoulders theres no way..stupid!
Guest_Anon  [May 18, 2006 at 12:56 AM]
My youngest child is six months old. I showed my four-year-old this picture and asked him what he thought about the baby. He first said, "She's sleeping!" Then he took a closer look and said, "She's not strapped in! Why didn't she strap her in?" Yes, lots of parents make mistakes. We can only hope they learn from them by paying more attention when it comes to serious issues - not because they are or are not in the public eye, but for the safety of their child.
Guest_Joy  [May 18, 2006 at 02:25 AM]
Okay first off the people that are dissing britney must not have kids of their own to know little babies fall asleep and ocassionally slump over way far and there head does in fact fall to the side...Sean fell asleep and hes leaning theres nothing wrong with that....Most people with kids know that kids fall asleep in the weirdest places and in the weirdest positions...You can clearly see Sean is buckeled i ...Seat Belt or not it doesnt prevent his head from falling to the side.
Guest_mom of 2  [May 18, 2006 at 03:45 AM]
I have 2 children and they sleep in the car all the time. REAR FACING and NEVER that slumped over.
Guest_AnAngel  [May 18, 2006 at 06:08 AM]
She needs to honestly take some parenting classes. I feel sorry for her son and baby-to-be. She endangers her children it seems on a daily basis.

BRITNEY IS GOOD MOTHER AND SEAN IS JUST SLEEPING !!! why don't u understand Sean is safe !! But I hate paparazzis
Guest_Anon  [May 19, 2006 at 01:23 AM]
Ummm..."Laura"? He is NOT SAFE. For crying out loud, are there really that many idiotic people out there? You buy a carseat, you read the manual. HE IS NOT SAFE LIKE THAT. Although I guess it's okay to put a baby's life in Danger when you're Britney Spears.
Guest_Cindy  [May 19, 2006 at 06:53 AM]
She is NOT a mother she IS a MORON...
Guest_Anon  [May 19, 2006 at 11:38 PM]
seriously do you think that a kid that is almost falling foward out the car seat is safe....the restraints are too loose!!! britany spears should not be allowed to breed. just because she is a celebrity does not mean that she is allowed to circumvent (in case any of you idiots don't know what that means it means to get around things simply because of a loophole) the laws regarding child welfare...apparently she is allowed to circumvent them because she is the almighty BRITANY SPEARS! she is a damn dumbass
Guest_Anon  [May 22, 2006 at 02:21 AM]
brit is going to win a darwin award for him if/when they get in a crash. truly sad that she AND so many of her fans here are so clueless.
Guest_Anon  [May 24, 2006 at 04:35 PM]
knowing she is in the public eye a lot, you would think she'd take greater measures to prevent such mistakes from happening. I am a fan of Britney and also a soon-to-be mom. Yes, new moms make mistakes. Yes, she is human. But there are plenty of resources out there that could prevent this from happening. If even a "normal" person can have access to them, surely the great celebrities can too.
Guest_Anon  [May 24, 2006 at 10:45 PM]
1. No baby should be leaning over that far in a car seat. All car seats have overhead straps that keep the baby upright. The only thing that should be moving is his head if he's asleep. Secondly, he should always have a hat on if out in the sun. There have been many pics of Britney out with her child and he has on no hat and most likely no sunscreen, either. People aren't bashing Britney because they hate her, they're doing it because she has made many mistakes as a parent and they need to be brought up so
Guest_Anon  [May 26, 2006 at 09:29 PM]
The child is not strapped in correctly! It is impossible for a child to lean over that far is he strapped in correctly. And the seat shoul be rear facing until the child is at least 1 year old. My children aften fall asleep in their child restraints but only their heads will lean over because the shoulder straps hild them in the seat safely. Also, I wonder if the driver really is Britney. Look at the arms! Has she gained weight?
Guest_beam  [Jun 01, 2006 at 01:29 AM]
My kid looks like that when she sleept... but I don't see any belts.. and thats bad... and he's facing forward.. and thats bad.
Guest_devilishmary33  [Jun 24, 2006 at 08:48 PM]
c'mon leave her alone.just bcause shes popular people point at her.lots of moms in Canada drive with their babies facing forward.theres no law about that here and no babies are killed here.call us however you want.leave her alone.everyone makes mistake.if you wanna talk trash about someone is should be k-fed.She is a good mother despite anything you say.give a break and the chance to learn.imagine the pressure she might feel.I'd like to see any of you who's trashing her, living the pressure like she does.
